Everything you need to know about eligibility, registration, and the examination process for JP National Talent Quest 2026.
The scholarship examination is open to all students studying in Class 9 or 10 (Junior Level) and Class 11 or 12 (Senior Level) during the current academic session 2026–2027, regardless of the medium of instruction or school board.
No. Registration for both Junior and Senior levels is completely free of cost. There are no hidden charges at any stage of the examination process.
Registration begins on 15th August 2026 and closes on 25th October 2026 for both levels. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be accepted, so it's best to register early.
Yes. There are two separate online registration forms — one for the Junior Level (Class 9 & 10) and one for the Senior Level (Class 11 & 12). Use the "Register" buttons on this page to open the form that matches your class.
The process has two stages. First, all registered students appear for a written Qualifying Examination. The top 100 scorers from each level then qualify for a final Viva (interview) round, from which 3 Grand Prize winners and 10 Special Prize winners are selected.
Both the written examination and the final Viva round will be conducted at Jaiprakash Hospital and Research Centre, Dandiapali, Rourkela.
The quest evaluates students across 10 categories — Extempore, Social Science, Theme Based Writing, Aura & Persona, Maths, Language, Brain Drain, Group Discussion, Art & Culture, and Science.
Written exam results are announced first, followed by the final Viva round for shortlisted candidates, with results declared the same day. Exact dates differ slightly for Junior and Senior levels — see the Prizes & Eligibilty section above for full details.
Prizes will be distributed on 22nd December 2026, during the Annual Day Celebrations of Jaiprakash Hospital and Research Centre.
