Burn Management
- First-Degree Burns: Superficial burns affecting only the epidermis (e.g., extreme sunburn), typically healing without scarring.
- Second-Degree (Superficial) Burns: Involving the epidermis and superficial dermis, healing within three weeks with proper care and some scarring.
- Second-Degree (Deep) Burns: Affecting the epidermis and deep dermis, requiring longer healing time and often necessitating skin grafting.
- Third-Degree Burns: Full-thickness burns involving the skin and muscles, requiring excision and advanced skin grafting procedures.
